Okay... not really. Mike, the kids, and I all took a little road trip to Arizona and made a couple of stops along the way. The entire purpose of the trip was to visit our good friends the Ostergars. They are a wonderful older couple that Mike connected with while on his mission and he has stayed in contact with them ever since. We left early Thursday morning and arrived in Las Vegas at about 7pm that night. I took some pictures of the lights and then we had some dinner and fell in our beds exhausted. The next morning we were up early, checked out of our hotel and continued our trip on to Arizona where we spent the entire day with the Ostergars. That evening we continued even further until we arrived at St. George UT. We spent about two hours at the St. George Temple and really enjoyed the Spirit we felt there. (I of course got a little camera happy) The next day was Saturday and we spent that day driving around Zion National Park. We had planned on doing some hiking but the snow prevented us from getting out of the car very much. That night we returned to Las Vegas and spent some time at that temple too. (again... I got a little camera happy) We woke up the next day and prepared for the long drive back home. We took in a free circus act, walked around the Venetian and watched the gondolas, and set out on the road finally at about 6pm. It was a great little escape and a wonderful opportunity to spend some time together as a family!
